When I first decided to take action against The University of Connecticut
I did research online to get some background on issues like mine and
similar to mine at UCONN. After hunting around online I found a forum
for dental students with some curious posts. On the forum University
of Connecticut Dental School students had some interesting things to
say regarding abuse, harassment and attempts to keep information about
such experiences quiet. Many of the comments mirror some of my experiences
and demonstrate UCONN's problem with such behavior and the need to address
it systemically. If you do your own search on the forum you can find
more correlating information about UCONN. You will of course find favorable
posts as well, but some of the unfavorable ones are most disturbing.
I put these links on the site as proof I am not alone in believing UCONN
has a serious problem regarding behavior similar to what I experiencedm
and to serve as a warning. The problems in the dental school are yet
to be addressed by the university just like those in the Landscape Architecture
Program which I went through.
